Every Rue des Muses piece is vintage and one-of-a-kind, carrying both the beauty and history of its age.

Please shop thoughtfully. Vintage pieces may show signs of age including but not limited to: fading, crackling, minor frame wear, small restorations, canvas irregularities, or other imperfections consistent with their era. These characteristics are considered part of the piece's authenticity and charm, not defects.

Information regarding age, condition, provenance, attribution, and medium is provided to the best of our knowledge based on available research and visual inspection. We make no guarantees of authenticity or attribution unless explicitly stated with supporting documentation.

Many of our pieces are presented in their original vintage frames, which may show age-related wear such as gilding loss, minor chips, scratches, tarnishing, or patina consistent with the frame's era. We consider original frames an important part of a piece's history and character. If a frame has been replaced or restored, this will be noted in the listing when known. As always, additional photos of the frame are available upon request.
